Since2010 she has received Proclamations for our great city of Houston each year for Peace and Joy Day from Mayor Parker and Mayor Turner. Peace and Joy Day is October 1st and is a non-denominational, nonpolitical day to advocate for peace and joy for all. Each year they have hosted events to raise money for charity and facilitating and supporting community projects. Shannon and her husband Andreas, live in Shepherd Park Plaza of Houston and have three sons Max, Nikolaus, and Andreas II. She is on the Board of her neighborhood civic club SPPCC-Shepherd Park Plaza Civic serving on the Citizen’s Patrol.
